A chatbot for FCTE: an undergraduate thesis centralizes administrative information for students
Breno Henrique de Souza and Giulia Domingues de Alcantara defended at FCTE/UnB an undergraduate thesis centralizing FCTE administrative information into an AI-supported chatbot.

Brasília, July 23, 2025
Often overlooked, much of a student’s daily wear in a large university comes from the difficulty of finding basic information: where to book a lab, how to request a certificate, when the internship deadline expires. The undergraduate thesis defended in July 2025 by Breno Henrique de Souza and Giulia Domingues de Alcantara aims at that friction with a chatbot focused on FCTE, under the advising of Prof. George Marsicano Corrêa .
The duo builds a solution that combines AI support with a centralized knowledge base of the faculty’s administrative and pedagogical information. Choosing a chatbot as the interface is useful precisely because of the target audience: students use messaging as their default channel, and a conversational agent surfaces the relevant answer without requiring navigation through institutional directories.
By tying AI to the student experience , the thesis contributes to lowering the daily cost this faculty imposes on its community — and frees in-person services for demands that actually require human attention.
