QVT in the public sector: an undergraduate thesis proposes a web tool to monitor quality of work life

Activity Ergonomics Applied to QVT — long acronym, mature field, yet almost always run on spreadsheets and goodwill. The undergraduate thesis defended by João Gabriel Rossi and Paulo Vitor Coelho da Rocha in September 2022 proposes replacing that arrangement with a web tool dedicated to the public sector, advised by Prof. Fabiana Freitas Mendes .
The scope choice matters. Brazilian public administration has discussed QVT for decades, but turning that discussion into monitorable processes usually falls back on generic tools that ignore both the statutory employment nature and the specificities of each agency. The tool proposed by the duo targets that gap: to collect, aggregate, and present QVT data so that public managers can regularly read the organization’s pulse.
The work speaks to digital transformation in public administration: not through expensive systems or structural reforms, but through specific pieces that give visibility to human dimensions of work.
