Brazil’s Psychosocial Care Network (RAPS) organizes services for mental health care — and, like much of the public health system, operates on abundant data that rarely reach the decision point in time. The undergraduate thesis defended in December 2023 by Luis Bruno Fidelis Gomes tries to shorten that distance, building Business Intelligence dashboards under the advising of Prof. George Marsicano Corrêa .

The work is not only technical: it is curatorial. Deciding which indicators must appear on screen forced the author to translate professionals’ work priorities into observable objects — a step often underestimated in BI projects and one that accounts for the difference between dashboards that inform and dashboards that decorate. The choice of Mental Health as the beneficiary places the thesis at the crossing of data instrumentation and public policy.

As a deliverable, a set of dashboards ready for adoption in RAPS units — practical input for management teams that need to respond quickly to what the data had been saying quietly.
