The paper A Motivation-Aware Diagnostic Instrument for Personalized and Gamified Computing Education has been accepted at the XXXVII Brazilian Symposium on Computers in Education (SBIE 2026, submission #27258).

The paper is authored by Prof. Sergio Freitas , Daniel Rodrigues da Rocha, Davi Rodrigues da Rocha, and Mylena Angélica Silva Farias, all from CEDIS, and describes a semester-start diagnostic instrument for personalized and gamified computing education. The instrument was evaluated across three undergraduate courses — Human-Computer Interaction, Compilers, and Introduction to Gamification — gathering 245 valid responses with good internal consistency (α = 0.880).

This diagnostic instrument underpins EduTrack, a platform for tracking, analyzing, and gamifying classes, and EduTrack AI, an AI API for academic performance prediction in gamified environments, both developed by Daniel, Davi, and Mylena as part of their undergraduate research at CEDIS.

The products are available at edutrack.cedis.tec.br and ai.edutrack.cedis.tec.br, and can be explored further on the EduTrack and EduTrack AI pages at CEDIS.
