Eu Me Protejo – Boas Práticas is an educational application intended to support educators, tutors and other users in accessing content and activities related to child protection.
This Privacy Policy describes the information handled by the application and the measures adopted to protect users’ privacy.
1. Information used by the application
To offer personalisation and learning-progress features, the application may store information provided or generated during its use, including:
- the nickname chosen by the user;
- the avatar;
- the selected learning track;
- progress through the modules;
- answers and results of quizzes and activities;
- experience points (XP);
- achievements and gamification elements;
- sections marked for review;
- reflections and notes entered by the user.
The application does not require the nickname to match the user’s legal or real name.
2. Purpose of the information
This information is used exclusively to provide the application’s features, including profile personalisation, progress tracking, gamification, performance review, resuming activities and storing the reflections produced by the user.
The information is not used for behavioural advertising or to build commercial profiles.
3. Personal reflections and notes
The application allows the user to record reflections and notes related to the content studied.
This information is treated as private and is intended exclusively for the user themselves. The application has no feature for automatically sharing those reflections with third parties.
4. Storage
The application was designed to allow access to its content and gamified features without requiring an active Internet connection after installation.
Information such as profile, progress, XP and notes may be kept on the device so that it can be retrieved in later sessions.
5. Sharing
Those responsible for the application do not trade in the information provided by the user.
Information stored for personalisation, progress and use of the activities is not automatically shared with other users.
6. Deleting the profile and data
The user may use the profile-removal feature provided by the application.
On confirming removal, the profile and the associated data stored by the application are permanently deleted, according to the implementation of the installed version.
Uninstalling the application may also eliminate information kept exclusively in the application’s local storage, according to how the Android system operates.
7. Device permissions
The application seeks to request only the permissions necessary for its features.
Should new versions introduce features that require access to additional device resources, this Privacy Policy will be updated and, where necessary, the user’s consent will be requested.
8. Third-party services
Third-party services and libraries that may be incorporated into the application are assessed in light of their privacy practices and of their necessity for the application to work.
Should an external service come to collect or process user information, that practice will be reported in this Privacy Policy and in the Google Play Data safety declarations.
9. Security
Measures are adopted to limit access to the information stored by the application.
In particular, personal reflections and notes are not to be shared automatically with third parties.
No system is entirely immune to security risks, which is why the measures adopted will be reviewed as the application evolves.
10. Changes
This Policy may be updated to reflect changes in features, in information-handling practices, in legal requirements or in the policies of the distribution platforms.
