Eu Me Protejo – Jogos (“Games”) is an educational application for children, developed to support educational action on the prevention of violence in childhood through games and playful activities.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled while the application is used.
1. Children’s privacy and protection
Children’s privacy and safety are priorities of the application.
Eu Me Protejo – Jogos was designed so that its features can be used without the child providing personal information such as name, address, e-mail, telephone number or location.
2. Personal data
The application does not ask the user to register and does not collect or transmit users’ personal data to servers held by those responsible for the application.
In particular, the application does not request information such as:
- full name, address, e-mail or telephone number;
- geographic location;
- contacts;
- photographs, videos or audio recordings;
- authentication credentials;
- advertising identifiers.
3. Offline operation and data stored on the device
The application was designed to work offline, with no Internet connection needed to use its games and features. All music and illustrations are part of the application package itself.
The application does not store progress, scores or user preferences. The state of each game exists only while the application is open and is discarded when it is closed. The only information that may be written to the device is an image of a drawing from the Colouring Game, and only when the user chooses to save it.
4. The Colouring Game and saving images
In the Colouring Game, the user may tap the “Save” button to store an image of the finished drawing in the device’s photo gallery. This action is optional, depends on the user’s initiative, and writes the file only on the device itself, with no transmission to any server. On devices running Android 12 or earlier, the system requests storage write permission before saving; on Android 13 or later, no additional permission is required.
5. Data sharing
Eu Me Protejo – Jogos has no feature for sharing users’ personal data with other users or with those responsible for the application.
Nor do we trade in personal data.
6. Advertising
The application does not use personal data for behavioural or personalised advertising.
7. Device permissions
The application uses only the device resources necessary for it to work. The single permission used is storage write access (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE), only on Android 12 or earlier, exclusively to save Colouring Game drawings to the gallery when the user asks for it. The application does not need access to location, camera, microphone, contact list or phone state.
8. Third-party services
The current version of the application does not use external services to collect users’ personal information.
Should future versions come to use third-party services, this Privacy Policy and the information published on Google Play will be updated before those features are made available.
9. Academic research
During the development of the application, academic evaluation activities were carried out with participants in a school environment. Those activities were part of the research that originated the application and do not constitute automatic data collection performed by the application distributed on Google Play.
10. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as a result of changes to the application, to legal requirements or to the policies of the distribution platforms.
The date of the most recent update is shown at the beginning of this document.
